You will need to download this guide to your phone and use it on comp day to reference the boulder problems and maps. Thanks in advance for helping us to reduce our carbon footprint and waste!
Friday Night October 17
Build Your Own Boulderfield and Pre-registration and Packet Pick-up 5-7:30pm
Please join us at Burlaep Print and Press in Chattanooga from 6-10pmin for the Annual Buy Your Own Boulderfield, Pre-registration, Packet Pick-up and Pint Night.
Please bring cash or Venmo for purchases. COMPETITORS WILL BE ABLE TO PICK UP THEIR COMPETITION PACKET AND T-SHIRT. COME EARLY AND ENJOY THE FESTIVITIES!
Comp Day - Saturday October 18
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and comp goodies for purchase
There will be breakfast, lunch, dinner, beer and other beverages, event tees, and event stickers available for purchase throughout Saturday!!! Make sure to bring cash or Venmo!
There will be fantastic food vendors that will be on site for us!
- Climbers for Christ will be providing a FREE pancake breakfast!
- Triple Crown Sponsor, Trail Town Coffee will provide free coffee!
YOU MUST HAVE CASH OR VENMO FOR ALL PURCHASES!!!

Day-of-Event Registration
Morning-of the event registration takes place from 7:30am - 8:45am ET. If you are registering the morning of the event, find the registration booth near the clubhouse to sign in and get your packet and t-shirt.
Fairway Boulders, Picnic Boulders and the Purgatory Area are also open for this event!
Once again, Montlake will close the golf course during the event, and this will allow us access to the boulders that lie along the fairway! This includes the 45 degree wall, King Cobra boulder, Cloud Nine boulder and many others.
Spectators
The spectator fee will be $20 the day of the event. Tickets/Bracelets can be purchased the day of the event.
***Spectators will not be allowed to climb.
Dogs
No dogs are allowed at Stone Fort! Please be respectful of the land-owners and leave your animals at home!
If you are under 18
You must download the Stone Fort waiver and have a parent fill it out and sign it. You must then bring it with you to registration on Friday night or Saturday morning. You will also need a guardian (over 18) to accompany you or your group the day of the event.
Competition T-Shirts
You will be given one free Stone Fort tee the morning of the event (or at pre-registration Friday night). If you wish to purchase extra tees, they will cost $20 each.
Shoe Demos
Make sure to bring your drivers’ license or other form of ID if you’d like to demo a pair of climbing shoes from Presenting Sponsor La Sportiva, Scarpa, and Mad Rock will also be on site with demo fleets as well!
The Hellbilly 4.2 Mile Race
Calling all runners! And, hardcore climbers/runners that are up for the great category that we’ve dubbed the Hellbilly!
As a standalone, this 4.2 mile course is an incredible cross country race! This is a challenging course with both steep and flat sections that will put all contenders to the test.
The Hellbilly combines the Star Chaser category with this challenging golf course romp! Big Prizes and the title of Hellbilly await the top finishers!!
EVERYONE THAT COMPETES IN HELLBILLY WILL RECEIVE A HELLBILLY RACE TEE IN ADDITION TO THEIR COMPETITION TEE SHIRT!

The Hellbilly race component will begin at 9am!! Bring your really fast shoes!!
Saturday Afternoon/Evening October 18
Turn in your Scoresheet
You will need to turn in your scoresheet at the entrance to the boulderfield no later than 5:30pm in order to place in the event. Any scoresheets turned in later will be disqualified. You are not required to turn in any scoresheet. We draw registration forms in order to give door prizes.
Raffles
There will be an SCC raffle. Sign up and take a chance on walking away with even more booty and support “the cause” at the same time.
There will also be an opportunity to join the Southeastern Ciimbers’ Coalition, the Carolina Climbers’ Coalition, and the Access Fund. If you are not a member, stop being a lame chach and join. Make it your goal to become proactive this year.
Awards Ceremony
The awards ceremony will begin immediately after the raffles are finished. There will be tons of door prizes! So, if you didn’t do so good at the comp, don’t miss it. You could still win big! We plan to complete the awards ceremony by sundown.
Accommodations
We will have camping at the Stone Fort Comp!
Friday, October 17 at 5:00 pm until Sunday, October 19 at 10:00 am. Campsites will be limited to four people per site. There will be 30 campsites.
Hotels
For those looking for inside accommodations, get more information regarding hotels in the downtown Chattanooga area (all hotels in the downtown area are close to the launch/registration site).

Sunday Bonus Event with Three Gorges!
The Day after the Stone Fort Comp:
When: Sunday, October 19 8am to 5pm
Where: The Three Gorges Community located at 11024 Worley Road, Soddy Daisy, TN 37379, located a few miles away from the Montlake Golf Course and Stone Fort.
What: This is a special bonus event celebrating the end of an era that is the Triple Crown Bouldering Series that will include food, music, and climbing. You are invited to stay on the mountain an extra day and experience a new boulderfield that is open only for this special one-time event - kinda like Hound Ears.
The Day will include:
- Gates open at 8am. Coffee, donut and boulderfield packet pickup from 8-9am at event center
- 9am-noon. Bouldering Blitz accumulating as many V grades as possible over a three hour period.
- 9am-noon. Family nature scavenger hunt. Kids and families are invited to hike our boulder field trail system and solve riddles and find hidden items on a nature scavenger hunt.
- 1pm-2pm. Prizes. $500 cash prize(s) for the top Male and top Female finishers; various cash prizes for open projects; scavenger hunt prizes for all finishers.
- 2pm-5pm. Grateful dead cover band, food, drink.
Rain Date
As always, in the event of rain or bad weather, the competition will be postponed to Sunday. If weather is bad for Sunday as well, the comp will be rescheduled to a later date.
